Rheumatology Program's Education Activities

Education Activities Directed to Trainees and Students

Teaching activities for trainees and residents on Rheumatology rotations at UHN include weekly educational rounds focused on core topics in Rheumatology. In addition, faculty and trainees participate in weekly virtual rounds — organized by the Sinai Health Faculty — which feature presentations from local, national, and international speakers. The program also hosts bi-weekly journal clubs and research rounds to foster critical appraisal and scholarly discussion.

The Rheumatology Program welcomes medical students, Internal Medicine residents, and elective trainees into its core training clinics, while also offering several sub-specialty fellowship opportunities. Clinical placements and preceptorships are available for various health professions, including advanced clinical training through the Advanced Clinician Practitioner in Arthritis Care Program.

Each year, the Translational Immunology session brings together clinical and research trainees to explore how scientific discoveries directly inform and improve patient care in Rheumatology at UHN.
