Welcome to Education at the Schroeder Arthritis Institute
One of the goals of the Schroeder Arthritis Institute is to promote and support excellence in education, including education of pre-licensure health care postgraduate learners, research students and the patients and families for whom we provide care.
Our goal is to create a culture that promotes continuous learning and critical thinking, to manage today's health care challenges and those of tomorrow. Education at Schroeder Arthritis Institute happens at many levels and for many different audiences.
Our Education Strategic Plan was developed in 2022 to help guide the activities going on at the Institute.
The Education Committee of the Schroeder Arthritis Institute meets quarterly throughout the year to share ideas and challenges in developing and implementing educational activities at the Institute and to encourage collaboration within and outside the walls of the Institute. We aim to closely align with
UHN Education, and some of our members sit on the
Advisory Council for the Convergence of Care and Education (ACCCE) at UHN. Training programs at Schroeder Arthritis Institute reside within the
Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, which ensures that the programs at the Institute meet policies and accreditation standards.
