About Nursing

Nursing is part of the Collaborative Academic Practice (CAP) portfolio led by Pam Hubley, Vice President & Chief Nurse Executive.

Dynamic leadership, innovative education, supportive professional development! These are just a few of the ways University Health Network supports a positive work environment for nurses. UHN has more than 3,500 nursing staff and more than 1,300 nursing students completing their clinical placements each year.

Our nurses are supported by a strong leadership team consisting of Nurse Managers, Patient Care Coordinators, Directors, Advanced Practice Nurse Educators, Nursing Administration Coordinators, Nurse Clinicians and Advanced Practice Nurses.

One of the highlights of Nursing at UHN is our patient-centred approach to caring for patients and families. Our professional practice model puts patients first and provides a foundation for excellence in patient care, research and education.
