The Sarcoma Site Group, in collaboration with the University of Toronto, provides an outstanding educational program for learners at various levels, including: medical students, residents and fellows in oncology and graduate students. The Sarcoma Site Group is dedicated to providing continuing education on emerging best practices, technologies and modalities of care to oncology professionals in Ontario, Canada and the world.

With a large patient population, highly skilled staff and access to the latest technology in all fields, trainees receive a state-of-the-art educational experience. We have fellowships in all our medical specialty disciplines and residents from all programs routinely rotate through our site as part of their more general oncology training in medical, radiation and surgical oncology.

Since 2014, the Sarcoma Site Group has hosted the Toronto International Sarcoma Symposium on a biennial basis. This meeting brings together the international sarcoma medical and patient/caregiver community into one unique meeting. Bringing people together invariably sparks new ideas and this symposium provides a dynamic forum for collaboration among sarcoma clinicians and researchers from around the world. See the Toronto International Sarcoma Symposium website »

Every year, the sarcoma team participates in The Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) annual meeting. This annual meeting brings the global sarcoma community of researchers and practitioners together with the goal of improving patient care and treatment options

We also participate in the Ontario Orthopaedic Association’s annual meeting, where our team members shared best practices in the surgical treatment of sarcoma.

The Princess Margaret is a fully affiliated teaching hospital of the University of Toronto.
