What We Do

The Blood Disorders Program (Thrombosis & Hemostasis Clinic, General Hematology Clinic and Red Blood Cell Clinic) is dedicated to managing diseases of the blood and bone marrow.

At the Blood Disorders Program, hematology experts on your team work closely with you to ensure you get the best care possible.

How to Get Referred

You need a referral from a physician to ​become a patient at the General Hematology Clinic.

When making a referral, the physician will include:
  • Completed referral form
  • Clinical notes, including history and reason for referral
  • List of current medication
  • Recent blood work
  • Ultrasound /CT /MRI test results
How Long Does a Referral Take?

Once the referral is accepted and triaged by the medical staff, a member of the General Hematology Clinic administrative team will call you directly with an appointment. Please ensure that your contact information is up-to-date as we will also send you an itinerary with information on where to go for your appointment.
