Master Plan & Major Projects

Other Projects

Toronto Western Hospital's (TWH) Critical Infrastructure Reliability Project is responsible for keeping the hospital running – and allowing patient care to continue – in the event of a power outage. The project involved the installation of two state-of-the-art backup generators, as well as the delivery and installation of a 150-foot exhaust stack. Read more about the project here.

Clinical staff across Toronto Western Hospital rely on a pneumatic tube system to transport hundreds of lab and blood specimens, pharmaceuticals and other items across the hospital every day. Work is underway to upgrade the existing system, which was built in the 1970s, to digital and touch screen technology.
