Cancer Rehab Services

​​​​​Toronto Rehab offers rehabilitation services for individuals with a cancer diagnosis who have experienced physical, cognitive and/or functional changes as a result of the disease and/or cancer treatments.

There are different rehabilitation services available depending on the type of cancer and/or the type of support that is required. Services offered include:

Cancer (Oncologic) Physiatry Consultation Service

• These doctors specialize in rehabilitation for individuals with a history of cancer, please visit the Cancer Physiatry Clinic for eligibility criteria and the referral process.

Inpatient Rehabilitation

• For patients with hematological, musculoskeletal, or solid tumour cancers excluding brain, please visit the Multisystem Rehabilitation Unit for eligibility criteria and the referral process.
• For patients with brain tumours, please visit the Brain Injury Rehab Inpatient Service for eligibility criteria and the referral process.
• For patients with spinal cord tumours, please visit the Spinal Cord Rehab Inpatient Service for eligibility criteria and the referral process.

Outpatient Rehabilitation

• For patients with musculoskeletal and select neurologic cancer-related impairments, please visit the Cancer Outpatient Rehabilitation (COR) Program for eligibility criteria and the referral process.
• For patients with brain tumours, please visit the Acquired Brain Injury Rehab Service for eligibility criteria and the referral process.
• For patients with spinal cord tumours, please visit the Spinal Cord Service - Outpatients for eligibility criteria and the referral process.
• For patients in treatment for or recovering from breast cancer, please visit the Health, Exercise, Active Living and Therapeutic Lifestyle (HEALTh) Program for eligibility criteria and the referral process.
