Cancer & COVID

On this 15-bed unit, nurses care for complex patients who are receiving treatment for hematological malignancies. Nurses administer chemotherapy, blood products, study drugs and manage oncologic emergencies.

The majority of patients have diagnoses of:

  • Leukemia
  • Lymphoma
  • Multiple myeloma
  • Aplastic anemia
  • Hematological disorders
  • Post allogeneic and autologous transplants

You need to be seen and admitted by a doctor at UHN to become a patient in our inpatient unit.​

What to Expect

In the Malignant Hematology Unit of 15A, a team of health care professionals will care for you during your stay and help you prepare for your discharge.
