    If you smoke on UHN grounds, you could be fined up to $5,000 and UHN could be fined $300,000.​

Protecting your health

Smoking is prohibited across all areas of UHN, in compliance with the Smoke Free Ontario Act and the Electronic Cigarettes Act. This includes:

  • Inside all buildings
  • Exterior grounds
  • Parking garages owned by UHN

UHN reserves the right to ask anyone smoking on UHN grounds to move off property.

Exclamation mark 
Individuals and institutions that do not comply with the Act will be ​subject to fines.
