UHN is committed to meeting the standards outlined in the province's
Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Accordingly, UHN will evolve its policies and procedures in compliance with the Act and its standards for customer service, employment, transportation, information and communication and the design of public spaces.
Our goal is to increase access to goods and services for all members of the UHN community. From transportation between Toronto Western and Toronto General hospitals, to expanding our employee and volunteer pool and improving access to information and communication for people with disabilities, UHN is promoting independence, equal opportunity and improved access to goods and services.
As an employee, volunteer or physician with a disability, modifications to accommodate your disability or disabilities will be provided during the application recruitment, hiring and onboarding process.
If you are a student with a disability and require course and training materials that take into account your accessibility needs, please advise and discuss with your educator. Every attempt will be made to provide the material in an accessible format.
Student records, as well as program information such as course requirements and descriptions, where possible will be provided in accessible format on request.
