Lung Cancer Rapid Assessment and Management Program (LungRAMP) allows patients who are suspected of having lung cancer to obtain consultation and state-of-the-art diagnostic investigations through a streamlined process. Specialist consultations, tests and, often, a biopsy are typically required to establish a diagnosis. The care we provide you will include some or all of the steps below.
Depending on your priority, you will be seen within 1-3 weeks. A surgeon's assistant or a nurse navigator will contact you with the date and time of your appointment.

Within 1-3 weeks, you will be seen at the Thoracic Surgery Clinic at TGH or the Lung Clinic at Princess Margaret Hospital where a thoracic surgeon or an interventional pulmonologist will conduct an examination, review available CT scan imaging and, in consultation with you, will determine steps necessary to establish the diagnosis.

Once all the tests are complete, you will be seen again by a thoracic surgeon or an interventional pulmonologist to discuss results and decide on treatment or follow-up as necessary.
Depending on the diagnosis, you may be referred to Princess Margaret Medical and/or Radiation Oncology, offered surgery or scheduled for a follow-up visit. In some instances, no follow-up is required.
