University Health Network is a health care and medical research organization in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The scope of research and complexity of cases at UHN has made us a national and international source for discovery, education and patient care.

The Sprott Department of Surgery is one of the largest surgical programs in Canada. We conduct more than 25,000 operations a year. Our department is known for performing some of the most technically difficult procedures anywhere in the world.
Our Critical Care units provide intensive care support to the medical and surgical programs at Toronto General and Toronto Western hospitals. Both sites have some of the most complex cases in the country.
The Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management provides state-of-the-art anesthesia to effectively treat some of the most critically ill patients in Toronto and beyond, helping the Surgery and Critical Care Program maintain its position as a global health care leader.
We offer world-class residency, fellowship and continuing education opportunities for health care professionals looking to further their knowledge and experience in the areas of Surgery, Anesthesia and Pain Management and Critical Care.
