The members of the pharmacy team at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre contribute to patient care by actively participating in cancer-related research. Pharmacists embrace the opportunity to perform translational research in hopes of defining a new standard of care and improving patient care at the post-chemotherapy supportive care level.
We are involved in numerous areas of research including:
- Disease prevention
- Medication safety
- How best to integrate pharmacists into the health care team in order to enhance overall patient care
- Pharmacokinetic studies
- Pharmacodynamic studies
We work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to advance research and practice.
