Find the Clues to Stay Ahead of Cancer

SHERLOCK is a research study at UHN’s Princess Margaret Cancer Centre that uses a simple blood test (“liquid biopsy”) to detect molecular residual disease (MRD)—tiny traces of cancer that may remain after treatment. By identifying MRD earlier, researchers aim to better understand cancer recurrence and explore ways to prevent it.

Why Take Part

Get more insight into your health after treatment
This study looks for tiny fragments of cancer in your blood that may not show up on scans, helping your care team better understand what is happening in your body.

Stay one step ahead of cancer
Finding these early “clues” may help identify if cancer could come back sooner—so your doctors can monitor you more closely and consider next steps earlier.

Help guide your care and future options
Your results may help determine if you are eligible for additional clinical trials focused on preventing cancer recurrence.

Contribute to research that may benefit you and others
By taking part, you are helping researchers learn how to detect and stop cancer earlier—for you and for future patients.

Join SHERLOCK

If you are a UHN patient receiving cancer care at UHN, you may be eligible to take part:
