When Shane Gabriel felt numbness in his left side, an MRI revealed a benign brain tumour in his cerebellum.

The removal of the tumour affected the surrounding brain tissue, which led him to begin his rehabilitation journey at the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) unit at Toronto Rehab. Shane has been working closely with his physiotherapist, Rose Cimolai, for three weeks to regain physical strength and balance.

He has begun to regain physical strength -- achieving great strides in the few weeks he's been at Toronto Rehab.
