Following a fatal case of H5N1, known as avian influenza or "the bird flu", UHN expert Dr. Michael Gardam appeared on CBC's
the National to discuss the virus and the impact it could have.
The infected person who died from the virus lived in Alberta and had recently travelled to Beijing, China. She died on Jan. 3.
