​​Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability world-wide. Dr. Tymianski has dedicated two decades to beating this disease and has developed the only drug in the world aimed at protecting the brain from stroke.  Tymianski's stroke drug NA-1 is now in a Phase III trial, which will show if the drug is effective at reducing the damage of stroke. A new $10 million grant will fund the FRONTIER trial involves paramedics administering the drug to patients who have suffered a stroke.
