University Health Network is a health care and medical research organization in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The scope of research and complexity of cases at UHN has made us a national and international source for discovery, education and patient care.
Our 10 medical programs are spread across eight hospital sites – Princess Margaret, Toronto General, Toronto Rehab’s five sites, Toronto Western – as well as our education programs through the Michener Institute of Education at UHN. Ontario celebrates Archives Awareness Week, the first full week in April, every year. To celebrate/commemorate this event and the history of our hospitals, UHN's Corporate Archives will be rotating a three-panel exhibit through the hospital's Health Sciences Libraries throughout the month of April as follows:

About UHN archives UHN Archives acquires, preserves and provides access to the corporate records of University Health Network. Records are in a wide variety of formats, including textual documents, photographs and architectural drawings. The Archives' Collection documents the historical development and achievements of our three hospitals, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital. In addition to our current hospitals, records also document our nursing schools, Grace Hospital, Toronto Homeopathic Hospital, the Ontario Cancer Institute, and the work of noted cardiovascular surgeon W.G. Bigelow.
