For anyone diagnosed with cancer, finding the best medical care and treatment is never an easy task. For Helen Mangos, 62, it was particularly tough. It all began in late 2010— when Helen's family doctor discovered two abnormal lumps on her thyroid. After being referred to a local hospital and not receiving the care she needed, Helen and her daughter, Maria, knew it was time to speak-up and have the courage to make a difference in her care.
