University Health Network is challenging Mount Sinai Hospital, SickKids, Toronto Rehab and St. Michael's Hospital to a spring wellness challenge this May. UHN's Wellness Centre encourages all UHN staff to join a team, start exercising, eating healthy and improve overall well-being.

Each day, team members will log their amount of physical activity (between 30-60 minutes of walking, running, biking, etc). Bonus points can be earned daily for eating five to ten servings of fruits and vegetables, drinking six or more glasses of water and participating in a stress relieving activity, such a meditation.

Any UHN employee, volunteer, physician, or student can participate at no cost and one doesn't need to be an athlete to compete. Registration opens April 6 and will run until May 2. The challenge will run from Monday, May 3-May 30.

The winning hospital will be awarded a trophy and bragging rights. The top three teams from each hospital will receive great prizes, and every team will receive participation prizes. Stay tuned for more details on a special launch event and prize details. Questions? Phone the Wellness Centre at 416-340-4486, email Elise.Manera@uhn.on.ca, or visit the Wellness Website.
