What does the next five years look like for UHN?
The answer is now clear and available in UHN’s 2019-23 Strategic Plan thanks to months of collaboration with patients, families, partners and TeamUHN – staff, physicians, researchers, learners and volunteers.
With the plan comes UHN’s new vision, A Healthier World, and five Strategic Priorities to help us deliver on that promise through care, research and education.
"This plan celebrates clinical, academic and professional diversity at every level of UHN," says Dr. Kevin Smith, President & CEO of UHN. "This in turn reflects the diversity of Toronto, the city we call home.
"Everyone plays an important role in UHN's success – and we know that, by working together, the societal benefits of our collective efforts will be many and far reaching."
Now that the development of the Strategic Plan is complete, UHN will begin the heavy lifting to execute the plan across the organization.
In the spirit of "empowering and investing in a diverse TeamUHN," one of the priorities identified within the Strategic Plan, each Strategic Priority will be led by an up-and-coming leader who is known for living UHN’s shared values. Goals will be set in support of each Strategic Priority, then measured and communicated widely.
