UHN is among a group of Toronto hospitals collaborating in a global life science incubator launching in the MaRS Discovery District.

The Ontario government announced Tuesday a $19.4 million investment toward Johnson & Johnson Innovation's first JLABS incubator outside the United States. JLABS @ Toronto is a partnership with the University of Toronto, MaRS Innovation, MaRS Discovery District and the Province.

UHN is collaborating with St. Michael's Hospital, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, the Hospital for Sick Children, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Sinai Health System on the JLABS @ Toronto project, which will be located in the MaRS West Tower and is scheduled to open in the spring of 2016.
