Our UHN programs and services are among the most advanced in the world. We have grouped our physicians, staff, services and resources into 10 medical programs to meet the needs of our patients and help us make the most of our resources.
University Health Network is a health care and medical research organization in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The scope of research and complexity of cases at UHN has made us a national and international source for discovery, education and patient care.
Our 10 medical programs are spread across eight hospital sites – Princess Margaret, Toronto General, Toronto Rehab’s five sites, Toronto Western – as well as our education programs through the Michener Institute of Education at UHN. Nicholas Fidei, President of luxury homebuilder Treasure Hill, has donated $2 million to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation's Space Transformation Project through the Nicholas Fidei Foundation. The campaign supports improvements to spaces across the cancer centre to create a better patient experience and enable future care now at the Princess Margaret.
The donation was celebrated at an event with his team, the "Cycle Warriors," long-standing supporters of the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer, along with leaders from the Princess Margaret. The team is made up of 24 participants who have raised $1.5 million since they began participating in the Ride seven years ago.
"We are grateful for the ongoing support from Nicholas Fidei, his Foundation and the Cycle Warriors," says Michael Burns, President and CEO of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
"This generous philanthropic donation supports the Space Transformation's mission to prioritize the patient experience. Together, we will build for the future and help advance our understanding and treatment of cancer around the globe."
