Our UHN programs and services are among the most advanced in the world. We have grouped our physicians, staff, services and resources into 10 medical programs to meet the needs of our patients and help us make the most of our resources.
University Health Network is a health care and medical research organization in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The scope of research and complexity of cases at UHN has made us a national and international source for discovery, education and patient care.
Our 10 medical programs are spread across eight hospital sites – Princess Margaret, Toronto General, Toronto Rehab’s five sites, Toronto Western – as well as our education programs through the Michener Institute of Education at UHN. The 9th annual Weekend to End Women's Cancers (WEWC) took place September 10 and 11. Over the two days, 4,013 participants, ranging in age from 16 to 98 years raised $9.4 million for the Campbell Family Institute at PMH.
These funds directly support breakthrough research, clinical enhancements and the survivorship program at PMH. Walkers covered distances of 30km in a single day or 60km over two days.
Next year's walk will be the 10th anniversary, and the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation is already looking ahead to the 10 Years Strong Weekend.
Registration is already open; once you register, you'll receive a $100 fundraising credit for each new walker you refer. Visit www.endcancer.ca or call 416 815 WALK (9255) to register.
