Breast cancer gives nurse perspective
Nurse Lori Newton had always been proud to work at University Health Network. She's been in the operating room at Toronto General Hospital for 25 years.
But on Dec. 22, 2010, she found a cancerous lump in her breast. The discovery meant she had to have multiple surgeries – this time, as a patient.
Read here what Lori learned about courage – of both patients who come here and the UHN staff who care for them.
