The Mohamed Ali Memorial Award was established in 2022 by the UHN Foundation through the generosity of the Ali family and donor philanthropy.
The award supports an annual grant for educational and professional development opportunities to members of Environmental Services or Transportation across UHN sites. The award honours the life and legacy of Mohamed Ali, a longtime member of the UHN housekeeping staff, who passed away in January 2021.
The Mohamed Ali Memorial Award will be delivered once per year to a select number of staff, with up to $1,500 per award recipient to be distributed.
Housekeeping or Transportation staff members currently employed (full-time or part-time) within UHN, across all sites within the organization.
Applications open on
Friday, May 20, 2022. A completed application form must be submitted by

Award recipients will be determined based on the established criteria and selected by the awards committee, made up of the fund-holders and Environmental Services staff from across all UHN sites. Confirmation of selection to the recipient(s) will be made by Monday, July 4, 2022.
