Hello everyone,

As you may know, we are in the middle of working through UHN's next strategic plan. And, as we work, we would like your ideas about where we need to take UHN and what matters to you. Here are two ways of sharing that feedback.

1. UHN's 2019-23 Strategic Plan: What should we focus on?

Help shape our strategic plan by visiting UHNstrategicplan.ca and answering the three questions there: What makes UHN special? What are UHN's strengths? What matters most to you? Your answers will help identify what UHN should focus on over the next five years.

My sincere thanks to the staff who visited our UHN Strategic Planning booth at the Michener, Princess Margaret and Toronto Western annual BBQs and answered these questions. Staff from Toronto General and Toronto Rehab are encouraged to visit the booth at their BBQs this September. I'm glad to see the number of responses from each site is comparable so far - although that might mean there's room for a little friendly competition! Of course, a strategic plan shaped by the wider UHN community will be the ultimate prize.

2. Share your feedback about last week's Open Forum via this 2-minute survey

Thanks all for a great Open Forum last week, I had a lot of fun being in the hot seat and left with a better understanding of what the UHN community is thinking about. Here is the video recording for those unable to attend. We discussed the public sector hiring freeze, what assurances we will offer to those who speak up for respect and civility, how our site-level strategies will be integrated with UHN's strategic plan and more. Special thanks to Gillian Howard for moderating the Q&A and giving Oprah a run for her money!

It was a pleasure answering your thoughtful questions and I thank those who voted on questions to ensure we discussed what matters most to the community. If you have a moment, I'd appreciate hearing your feedback via this 2-minute survey. I will be working to answer all the questions and those questions and answers will be posted soon.‎
