Advisory: Give yourself extra time when travelling by car to Toronto General Hospital, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, or Toronto Rehab University Centre. City of Toronto construction on University Ave. may cause delays.

University Health Network has grown to be one of the largest research and teaching hospital networks in Canada - pioneers in improving the lives of patients. Our long history of health professions education at Toronto General, Toronto Western, Princess Margaret and Toronto Rehab hospitals has consistently advanced the science of education.
University Health Network is a health care and medical research organization in
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The scope of research and complexity of cases at UHN has made us a national and international
source for discovery, education and patient care.
Being touched by illness affects us in different ways. Many people want to give back to the community
and help others. At UHN, we welcome your contribution and offer different ways you can help so you can find one that suits you.
The Newsroom is the source for media looking for information about UHN or trying to connect with one

Dear Colleagues: By now you've seen the flu carts and you know that the flu season is upon us again. This is the second week in UHN's annual four-week Flu Campaign. It's up to each of us to protect our coworkers, patients and loved ones by getting the flu vaccine.
I had the opportunity to get some one on one time with The Flu. Click here to watch the new video on the intranet!
Both mobile and stationary flu carts will be available across UHN to make it as easy as possible for you to get your shot. Vaccination rates comparing each site will be posted publicly and on the intranet on a weekly basis. At the end of the campaign, as always, the site with the highest rate will win the coveted Flu Campaign Trophy – which currently resides at TWH.
Visit the Occupational Health page of the intranet to see how your site stacks up against your colleagues and to get the most up-to-date flu cart schedule.
For those who have questions, Dr. Michael Gardam has answered FAQs about influenza and its vaccine that I think offers some great insights.
So, Toronto Western, dust off that trophy. Toronto Rehab, Princess Margaret and Toronto General, make some room in your trophy cases as one site will be bringing home the trophy for the next year.
Best of luck to all four sites. While only one of you will bring home the gold, more importantly you will all be playing a role in preventing those near you from getting the flu.
