Our peer-reviewed publications cover a broad range of subjects including:

  • Cardiac anesthesia
  • Drug prophylaxis of acute perioperative myocardial infarction (MI), including beta blockers, alpha agonists, aspirin, epidural anesthesia, nitrous oxide, and ischemic pre conditioning
  • Preoperative predictors of MI, with studies assessing preoperative testing (EKG, 2D echo, CT angiography)
  • Respiration and airway management, with studies assessing the effect of one lung ventilation and techniques of airway management
  • Pain management, including the relationship between pain and post-operative functional outcomes, the effect of depression and anxiety on post-operative pain, and the quality of analgesia and the occurrence of chronic pain
