What We Do

We provide consultation and ambulatory care for patients who come into our Emergency departments with signs and symptoms of a potential heart problem. Once we learn there's no life threatening or clinical problem where you need to be admitted or given immediate treatment, we can refer you to the Cardiac Evaluation and Rapid Treatment (CERT) Clinic.

At the CERT clinic we see patients who have been safely discharged from the emergency department with low-risk chest pain syndrome, irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias) and heart failure, who require follow-up consultation with a cardiologist.

We'll give you a follow-up call within 3 business days to offer you an appointment. We also provide consultation to inpatients who are discharged early.
