The UHN Women's Health Program seeks to promote excellence and foster innovation in research, education, and clinical care in women's health.
Our vision is to improve the health of women by driving research, education, and clinical care in key areas to address unmet care needs in women across the lifespan. Our initiatives focus on
- research addressing sex- and gender-based disparities in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease and in the structures and processes of healthcare
- optimal clinical care for women; and
- educating future generations of health professionals.
Our program is multidisciplinary and seeks to address unmet care needs related to sex and gender across all medical conditions. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate disparities based on sex and gender and improve health for women and men in Canada and worldwide.
