What We Do

Hemodialysis is also called “HD” or “Hemo”. It is a treatment that cleans the toxins from your blood. It also removes water from your body. People receive hemodialysis because their kidneys can no longer clean their blood as well as they should. We provide hemodialysis for patients with acute kidney injury or end stage renal disease. Hemodialysis patients are supported by a multi-disciplinary care team including a nephrologist, nurse practitioner, nurse, dietitian, pharmacist, chiropodist, vascular access coordinator, physiotherapist and social worker.
