Established in November 2020, the Indigenous Health Program is an Indigenous-staffed and Indigenous-led program within the University Health Network that is committed and accountable to the Indigenous community that seeks care at all UHN sites. We provide strategic guidance to the organization in efforts to work toward Indigenous health equity and provide support to staff and patients.

We utilize existing frameworks such as the Ontario Human Rights Code, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action, and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, and seek community guidance to shape our strategy.
