Princess Margaret does not have its own parking lot. However, several public parking lots are available close by, on Murray Street (directly behind the hospital). Frequent patients, families, and visitors are also eligible for discounted parking rates at UHN's lot at 201 Elizabeth Street, behind Toronto General.

Parking is available across from the hospital, in a lot that can be accessed from Elizabeth Street. The parking lot is always open.

Limited street parking is available beside the Emergency entrance along Dundas Street.

Alternative paid public parking is available in the RioCan lot at Bathurst College Centre

  • In Toronto Rehab designated areas, parking costs $10 per day or $2.50 per half hour at a parking meter.
  • Monthly parking passes are available for $90 per month (plus a one-time $10 refundable deposit).
  • DO NOT PARK in the fire route or in the Holland Bloorview parking lot.

About Discounted Parking

UHN offers frequent patients, families, and visitors discounted parking & passes at Toronto General and Toronto Western lots. Frequent patients, families and visitors of Princess Margaret and Toronto Rehab - University Centre are also eligible for discounted rates in these lots.

Passes include the following:

  • In-and-out privileges for 24-hours.​
  • Transferable between patients, their family and visitors.
  • Valid for one year from date of purchase.

TGH & TWH Parking Rates

Parking lot revenues support patient care activities at our hospitals.

  • Monday to Friday: $5 per half-hour; $25.50 daily max.
  • After-hours (6 pm - 8:30 am), weekends and holidays: $5 under half-hour; $9 flat rate over half-hour.

Discounted Rates

  • A discount of 50% off the daily maximum rate is applied.
  • Five, 10, and 30-day parking passes are available.

How to Obtain a Pass

Passes are available to purchase Monday - Friday.

Visit the information desk at Toronto Western (across from Shoppers Drug Mart) and Toronto General (Elizabeth Street entrance).

When exiting the hospital, pick up your pass from the parking office.


Learn more about Ministry parking directives

On January 18, 2016, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care announced a new provincial parking directive that makes parking more affordable for patients, their families and visitors who visit the hospital on a regular basis.

Effective October 3, 2016, hospital-owned parking lots that charge more than $10 a day for parking are required to offer patients, their families and visitors, 5-day, 10-day and 30-day passes, at a discount of 50% off the daily maximum rate.
