What We Do

Intestinal failure can be caused by disease or trauma that affects how the intestine absorbs nutrients or moves food through the intestinal tract.

We care for patients who require intestine transplants. Transplantation may be an option for treating intestinal failure, when other treatments, such as Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), are not successful.

How to Prepare

If you will be staying in Toronto for a night or two we ask that you bring your TPN with you as we may not be able to provide the right solution for you. Your first appointment can take 2 hours or more. Follow-up appointments usually take 1 hour.
