Referrals

Now Accepting Ocean eReferrals

This clinic is now accepting referrals through Ocean eReferral to help everyone save time and increase efficiency.

Note: Fracture Clinic only accepts referrals from Emergency Departments at UHN and SCOPE primary care physicians within the Toronto Central Region.

There are only three ways to be seen in the Fracture Clinic:

  • From the Emergency Department – if you have had a recent limb injury or fracture, the staff will book you an appointment in the Fracture Clinic.
  • A follow-up appointment with your surgeon after treatment or surgery. These appointments will be booked for you as well.
  • Through a referral from a clinician registered with SCOPE – A SCOPE-registered provider can refer you to the Fracture clinic for further clinic review of a recent limb injury or fracture. Appointments for accepted referrals will be booked for you by Fracture Clinic staff.
Please note that clinic appointments may be virtual visits. The clinic team will let you know what type of appointment is appropriate for your care. Learn more about virtual visits at UHN »

What We Do

The Fracture Clinic provides exemplary patient care, playing an important role in the management and treatment of orthopaedic issues throughout UHN. All orthopaedic post-operative follow-up visits are conducted at this clinic. Emergency Departments at UHN and SCOPE clinicians refer patients with acute fractures and/or ligamentous injuries for further clinical review.

  • Orthopedic post-operative follow-up visits
  • Clinical review of patients with acute fractures and injuries of the ligaments referred by Emergency Departments and SCOPE clinicians
