Toronto (Nov. 19, 2005) - Valarie Ali, Registerd Nurse, and Dr. Michael Crump were selected as this year's recipients of the prestigious Gerald Kirsh Humanitarian Awards and honoured at an awards ceremony Nov. 16, at PMH's research Atrium.
The awards, established by the family of the late Gerald Kirsh, honour two PMH employees each year, nominated by patients and their families, who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to humanitarian care for cancer patients.
This year 21 PMH staff members who demonstrate excellent clinical care with a special human touch were nominated. Congratulations to all the nominees for the 2006 Gerald Kirsh Humanitarian Awards.
