JDMI earns ACR accreditation for clinical MRIs
The Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) recently secured an important achievement in patient care: nine of JDMI's clinical MRIs earned successful ACR (American College of Radiology) accreditation, marking a Canadian first. With this accreditation, the JDMI now meets the most rigorous standards in quality control, imaging quality, safety and care in North America. The JDMI's MRI teams worked incredibly hard to earn this leading certification and I am proud of their dedicated efforts. Congratulations to the JDMI MRI team for this well-deserved accomplishment and for their continued commitment to Caring Safely!
Supporting United Way's annual campaign
This year I am serving on the Campaign Cabinet for Toronto's United Way. This means that I have been meeting with the CEOs of hospitals across the City of Toronto and encouraging their support for the annual United Way campaign. I have asked Gillian Howard, Vice President of Public Affairs & Communications, to serve as the executive sponsor for UHN's campaign this fall. The United Way will launch its campaign mid-September and UHN's will launch towards the end of the month. If you would like to contribute to UHN's campaign with any ideas or by volunteering, please let Gillian know by sending a note to
Gillian.Howard@uhn.ca. Support for the United Way is support for the health and well-being of Toronto's citizens.
