What We Do

The Geriatric Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic offers assessment and treatment of older adults with mental health problems living in the community.

We see older adults with:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Paranoia/suspiciousness
  • Behavioural changes related to dementia

The clinic provides an initial assessment and treatment recommendations. We make suggestions about other appropriate services and provide some limited follow-up therapy. We liaise with family doctors, other specialists, CCAC, and social workers as needed.  Family education and support is an important part of our work.

Toronto Rehab does not provide transportation services to and from the hospital. If you are unable to access the hospital on your own, we can connect you with community transportation services such as Wheel-Trans.
