Our UHN programs and services are among the most advanced in the world. We have grouped our physicians, staff, services and resources into 10 medical programs to meet the needs of our patients and help us make the most of our resources.
University Health Network is a health care and medical research organization in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The scope of research and complexity of cases at UHN has made us a national and international source for discovery, education and patient care.

Ways You Can Help
Being touched by illness affects us in different ways. Many people want to give back to the community and help others. At UHN, we welcome your contribution and offer different ways you can help so you can find one that suits you.

At Toronto Rehab, the Geriatric Rehab Program is committed to helping older adults regain their lives and independence after a disabling illness or injury. We do that by providing excellent care. But more than that, we are committed to supporting patients and families in their journey of recovery.
Toronto Rehab opened Canada's first dialysis unit for seniors in a rehabilitation setting in 2002. In our Geriatric Rehabilitation Inpatient Service, we provide dialysis treatment that is shorter and more frequent – individuals staying in our unit receive dialysis 2 hours a day, 6 days a week. This unique approach provides patients with more energy and helps them participate more fully in the daily therapies they require to improve their other health issues. As a result, the majority of people are able to reach their rehabilitation goals and return home.
