What We Do

​We are dedicated to the comprehensive treatment of bladder disease and to personalized cancer care for our patients and their families.

Cystoscopy involves placing a fibre-optic camera into the lower urinary tract to evaluate the bladder (and, in men, the prostate). This procedure helps identify stones, tumours or other abnormalities in the bladder.

We also provide these treatments and tests:

  • Biopsy of the bladder
  • Biopsy of the penis
  • Immunotherapy and chemotherapy to treat bladder cancer
  • Insertion of ureteral stents to help relieve obstruction of the

At Toronto Western Hospital, the Cystoscopy Clinic also performs urodynamic testing to assess the causes of a patient's incontinence or voiding dysfunction.
