Announcements and Construction Notices

Ambulance Waiting Area Sliding Doors Closed Until March 2022

  • The sliding doors of the Ambulance Waiting Area (AWA) will be closed from November 22, 2021 until March 2022 for the safety, wellbeing and comfort of staff and patients.
  • Patients are advised to use the Murray Street entrance (South Revolving Door) or the 610 or 620 University Street entrances if safe to do so. A wheelchair-accessible ramp is available at the 610 University Avenue entrance.
  • All staff, vendors, contractors and labs are advised to use the 610 and 620 University Avenue entrances (preferred) or the Murray Street staff express lane at the North Revolving Door, between 6:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Please have your UHN ID and app ready in advance.

Patient & Family Library Now ​​Open for In-Person Visitors​​​​

  • The Princess Margaret Patient & Family Library is now open to patients, ​​families, caregivers and staff. If you are not able to visit the Library in person, ​there is a large collection of digital health resources available. We will also continue to supp​ort you with health information via our Virtual Librarian services by email and phone.

Main Floor Lobby

Starting in May 2017, the main floor of the Princess Margaret will be renovated to make this area more inviting for patients, families and visitors. To minimize disruption, renovations will be done in phases. The cancer centre will continue to operate as usual, but certain areas on the main floor will be closed off at different times as the work progresses.

Renovations to Clinics

The 5th Floor of Princess Margaret has been renovated to accommodate an expanded Gynecology Clinic, and to create a permanent location for the Palliative Care Clinic.

Patients affected will be notified about changes to clinic locations as renovations continue.
