Cancer Chat Canada runs professionally-led online support groups for Canadians affected by cancer, including patients, survivors and family members. Get support from the privacy and convenience of your home.
Cancer Chat Canada online support groups offer emotional support and a safe place to talk about personal topics. Support groups meet in an online "chat" room once a week for 90 minutes, for 10 to 12 weeks. All support group members log in at the same time and type to take part in the chat. All support groups are text-based and do not use voice or audio to meet.
About Cancer Chat Canada
Cancer Chat Canada is hosted by the de Souza Institute at University Health Network in Ontario since October 2015, and is run in collaboration with cancer centres across Canada. The program was originally developed by researchers and clinicians at the BC Cancer Agency, where the program was hosted from 2008 to 2015.
