Nominate Someone Today!
By Genane Peniak, Associate Campaign Director, Estate Giving, The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation
Have you experienced amazing care as a patient or seen a loved one treated in a special way by a Princess Margaret staff member or volunteer? Has someone made a small difference when you walked the halls of the cancer centre? Why not honour them with a Gerald Kirsh Humanitarian Award nomination?
These awards celebrate extraordinary care and are so very special to our staff and volunteers at the Princess Margaret. After experiencing wonderful personal care, the late Gerald Kirsh and his wife Paula along with their children Jennifer, Jeff and Joel wanted to do something that would honour staff in a meaningful way. They created The Gerald Kirsh Humanitarian Awards and for the past 17 years, patients, families and staff have come together to honour the compassionate care that is so integral after receiving a cancer diagnosis.
We invite staff, patients and their families to nominate ANY Princess Margaret Cancer Centre employee or volunteer that they have seen go above and beyond in their care. All nominees will be recognized at a celebratory event to be held on October 30 at 4:00 p.m. on the 7th floor.
So why not share your story with us and fill out a nomination form at: www.thepmcf.ca/kirshawards or visit the Patient and Family Library and pick up a nomination form or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
The deadline for nominations is September 10th!
