The Mood Disorders Psychopharmacology Unit is part of the Poul Hansen Family Centre for Depression. We provide assessment, medication recommendations and care for adults 18 to 65 years old with major depressive disorder or bipolar disorder. We provide recommendations related to medications. Our unit does not provide psychotherapy or counseling.
Patients and their families will meet with one of our psychiatrists for a consultation. Your appointment will include a comprehensive assessment. Our goal is to determine a diagnosis and a treatment plan that will help to:
We also help you and your family learn about the causes of mood disorders and ways to treat, manage and prevent mood disorders and commonly encountered co-occurring conditions.
