The 8th Annual Concussion Research Symposium: Biomarkers, Prevention and Treatment of Concussion

The CCC 8th Annual Concussion Research Symposium was held virtually for a half-day due to the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. It was an excellent and well-received symposium attended by 300 attendees from Canada, USA. The Conference Director was Dr. Charles Tator, and the Chairs were Dr. Robin Green and Dr. Carmela Tartaglia. The presentations included Dr. John Leddy from the USA, Dr. Claire Sandoe and Shaleen Sulway from Toronto, Dr. Roger Zemek from Ottawa, Dr. Carolyn Emery from Calgary, and presenters from the Canadian Concussion Centre with 13 poster presentations.

Concussion Public Forum: Concussion Treatment

The Seventh Annual Concussion Research Symposium: Advances in Concussion Research, including Concussion in Women & Girls

The CCC 7th Annual Concussion Research Symposium was an excellent and well-received symposium attended by approximately 335 participants. The Conference Director was Dr. Charles Tator, and the Chairs were Dr. Robin Green and Dr. Carmela Tartaglia. The presentations included 4 keynote speakers, Dr. Douglas H. Smith, Professor and Vice Chairman of Research and Education, Department of Neurosurgery, University of Pennsylvania; Katherine Snedaker, the originator of the Pink Concussions; Dr. Joseph A. Maldjian, Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Chief of the Neuroradiology Imaging Research Lab, USA; Dr. W. Huw Williams, Associate Professor, Clinical Neuropsychology and Co-Director, Centre for Clinical Neuropsychology Research (CCNR), Exeter University, UK, and 17 speakers from Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, and USA. There were also 12
poster presentations.
