Who we are
Welcome to the Neuropsychology Program at the Krembil Brain Institute. Clinical neuropsychology is an applied science concerned with the behavioural expression of brain dysfunction and the general relationship of brain structure to cognitive and emotional functioning.
The neuropsychology program provides assessment and consultation services to inpatient and outpatient clinics within the Krembil Brain Institute. We evaluate how diseases and disorders such as stroke, Parkinson's and Epilepsy may affect cognitive functioning (memory, language, problem-solving).
This information can be very helpful to clarify a diagnosis, to help the individual understand their strengths and weaknesses, to examine changes associated with medical or surgical treatment, and to recommend strategies to assist with problem areas in cognition.
