Advanced Ostomy Care And Management Course - Registeration Open!

This 10 week self-directed online course is essential for health care professionals working in acute care, long-term care & community interested in enhancing their knowledge and skill in the application of best practices for ostomy and peristomal skin care. The comprehensive course will assist you to critically analyze complex ostomy care problems and apply unique management techniques required to provide quality care and support to people and families who are living with ostomies. The course will be taught by nursing faculty with expertise in enterostomal therapy.

    Genome Editing Course - Now Available at Michener Institute of Education at UHN

    Continuing Education in collaboration with the UHN Office of Research Trainees is offering a new and innovative course on Genome Editing - Genome Editiong Course Image.pngTechniques and Applications. In this course, learners will discover many of the applications for CRISPR/Cas and gain hands-on experience editing DNA.

    In the News! Education Program Brings International Health Professionals to Learn at UHN

    Christina Han is a program manager in South Korea's largest hospital network – the Asan Medical Centre (AMC) in Seoul.Christina Han Group

    When she was looking to expand her knowledge with first-hand experience in educational leadership and organization development, she decided to turn to Canada's premier academic health centre – UHN.

    In a first-of-its-kind Personalized Learning Program™ (PLP™), Christina spent four weeks meeting with leaders and teams across the campuses of the Michener Institute of Education at UHN and with the Human Resources' Organizational and Employee Development team.

    "I quickly realized the focus on interprofessional teamwork and collaboration at UHN," Christina says. "With the learning I attained here, I hope to develop a similar structure to enable our teams to better collaborate at AMC."
