Our UHN programs and services are among the most advanced in the world. We have grouped our physicians, staff, services and resources into 10 medical programs to meet the needs of our patients and help us make the most of our resources.
University Health Network is a health care and medical research organization in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The scope of research and complexity of cases at UHN has made us a national and international source for discovery, education and patient care.
Our 10 medical programs are spread across eight hospital sites – Princess Margaret, Toronto General, Toronto Rehab’s five sites, Toronto Western – as well as our education programs through the Michener Institute of Education at UHN. Learn more about the services, programs and amenities offered at each location.

Effective Monday, March 16,
all unpaid, pre-licensure clinical student placements/learning (including part time and full time placements, on-site half day clinical visits/labs) will be paused.
This pause in placements and all other on-site clinical learning will be in effect until at least until July 6. We recognize that there may be an impact on future placements, and we will look to mitigate this as possible.
As hospitals gain stability in some areas, there may be select opportunities for clinical learners enrolled in academic programs to gain clinical experience in alignment with their learning goals through virtual means.
Support is available to students or by phone and email via the Education Leadership teams at each of the hospital sites, with additional resources on our
Learner Assistance page.
The University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine has decided to cancel all visiting student, resident and fellow elective activity as of
Monday, March 16, 2020.
