COVID-19: Changes to Hospital Services, Amenities & Events

UHN has moved to a No Visitor policy, with exceptions on compassionate grounds and other special safety needs. This includes, no companions or family members for clinic and other treatment appointments without obtaining prior approval from the unit or clinic manager. This extremely difficult decision has been made to protect the safety of patients and health care workers.
TeamUHN is working to keep our patients, visitors, learners, staff & community safe as we respond to COVID-19. Please ensure you've checked our COVID-19 homepage for more general updates and information before coming to any of our sites. Entrances may be closed or on restricted access.

Cancellations & Changes – Research

Suspension of Research

UHN has suspended all nonessential on-site research activities. This is part of a larger effort across UHN and our peer hospitals in Toronto to limit non-essential and elective activity to focus on the immediate needs posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is also being done to support larger community efforts in Toronto and across Canada of more social distancing to slow transmission of the coronavirus.
